The awaited animation to live action that has been well anticipated has arrived!
I'm happy to tell you that Mortal Kombat is not a flop. Of course there are some flaws and I'll touch on those but I do welcome a sequel.
I automatically expect nothing less than phenomenal fight choreography from martial arts films. The fight choreographer Chan Griffin and stunt choreographer Kyle Gardiner worked together phenomenally and it was so pleasant to watch, not prolonged or undercut just good fights. I will say there is a cliché moment of our comrade died and now we can suddenly fight stupendously.
First thing I want to get out of the way is that in any movie involving Gods, they are always almost useless. I say almost because they're needed for the plot but they could make things so much smoother just by speaking but of course they're an intimidating all powerful being so they can't. They're stoicism does add a bit to dialogue that could have been better but is better than others. I also personally find it strange how much Earth is desired by other planets. I know we live here so it's not unnatural to write in that regard and it's usually a planet that's exhausted their resources or they're nuts and want to destroy everything. On that note that special affects were great
There isn't too much to critique about this film, the pacing is slightly off but overall I'd welcome a sequel.
Let me know what you thought of the movie and if you'd watch a sequel.
